hearts, love, and fun!

v14 2.2005 I entered this in the stamp crafts category of the 2005 Hero Arts Valentine's Contest. All stamps by Hero Artst. I got the frame for $3 at Michael's -- used a 40% off coupon! The frame is sized to hold an 8 x 10 picture. I had to take the glass out to get these pictures as it was a cloudy day and I had to use the flash. The heart buttons are by Making Memories. I used embroidery floss for the "real" stitches, and the zig zag stiches are a Hero Arts stamp. I love that zig zag stich stamp since I don't have a sewing machine. And it lines up really easily -- I just eyeballed it and wa la!!

v13 2.2005

I entered this card in the 2005 Hero Arts Valentine's Contest. All stamps by Hero Arts excpet for the little candies in the first jar, they are by Memory Box. The card is from Papers By Catherine. Each panel in the card is 5 x 5 inches to give you an idea of the size. To make the jars of candy, I stamped the "candies" on clear shrink plastic, then drew the jars around them with a thin line permanent pen (also from Hero Arts catalog). I found out that the clear shrink plastic is MUCH harder to get to not stick to itself when shrinking, because you can't sand it first. I used Clearsnap's Crafter's ink, Fresco, and VersaMagic inks on the shrink plastic. Got the little brown paper bag at Michael's in the gift bag section.

v12 2.2005

Tree and tiny heart stamps by Memory Box, saying by Impress. The card is also by Memory Box. I used a Marvy square punch to make the window in the front of the card.
v11 2.2005 Bird and tiny heart stamps by Memory Box, saying by Impress. I really like this bird stamp, you can put so many things in its beak!
v10 1.2005

This card was made with some neat heart stamps by Savvy Stamps! The color combo was inspired by some neat ribbon that I found. First I stamped the scallop edged heart in violet. Next I stamped a solid heart in smoke blue. Then I overstamped the floral patterned heart in heliotrope over top. Next I punched out the stamped hearts with a square scalloped edge Marvy punch, then poked holes along the edge. The "be my Valentine" stamp is by Impress.

That's Tulip puffy fabric paint on the ewe! You put it on and zap it with a heat gun while it's still wet and it puffs up! Cool! Swirly heart stamp and alphabet by Hero Arts, ewe by Rubber Stampede, scalloped edge background by Savvy Stamps.
v8 2.2004

Valentine card for Jason! All stamps are by Hero Arts. I burned the edges of the paper! Got the idea for a matchbook from a card that I saw at Borders, but there's didn't look anything like this! More views:

v7 2.2004

Valentine's puzzle! All stamps are by Hero Arts. Font is called Chicken Shack, downloaded from Two Peas in a Bucket. I made the puzzle, then xyroned it to fun foam and then cut it up. I then took a picture of the puzzle and sealed it in the envelope that says "give up?". I made three of these, and everyone SAID that they didn't peek at the answer, ha!
v6 2.2004

Another Valentine's puzzle! The rose stamps are by All Night Media -- they are in the Anna Griffin collection. I did the "Be My Valentine" using Microsoft Word fonts Cooperplate Gothic Light and Edwardian Script ITC.
v5 1.2004

A combination Valentine/birthday card for a stamping friend whose birthday is on Valentine's Day! Heart stamps by Hero Arts except the party hat -- it's by Savvy stamps.
v3 1.2004 The next set of pictures is our Valentine's Day 2004 table setting! All stamps are by Hero Arts. All of the patterns are made with stamps; none are specialty paper!

I got this bag at Michael's. All stamps by Hero Arts. Heart eyelet and metal charm by Making Memories.

The put-together puzzle! I made the puzzle by cutting a heart out of cardstock, stamping it, then mounting it to brown cardstock and fun foam. I Xyroned each layer together. All stamps by Hero Arts.
